What are you doing with the kids this week?

Only events made for kids. No farmers markets, no happy hours, no “kid-friendly” filler. Just storytimes, classes, theater, STEM, homeschool programs, and festivals worth planning your week around.

The one rule

If it isn’t for kids, it isn’t in the email.

Every event passes one test: would a parent put this on the calendar for the kids?

In Made for kids

  • Storytimes and library programs
  • Children’s theater
  • Kids’ art, STEM, music, and sports classes
  • Homeschool programs and co-op days
  • Fall festivals built around kids

Out Kids are just welcome

  • Farmers markets
  • Food and craft festivals
  • Home shows
  • Happy hours and brewery “family days”
  • Concerts where kids are tolerated

Plenty of good outings fall here. They just aren’t what this email is for.

What lands in your inbox

The whole week ahead, every Sunday.

Most calendars skip Tuesday morning. This one doesn’t.

The week ahead
Monday through Friday, including weekday and homeschool programs that rarely make other lists.
This weekend
Saturday and Sunday picks, so you can plan before the week gets away from you.
Worth the drive
Events aren’t limited to our four towns — we look up to about an hour out. But the bar rises with the distance: a good neighborhood storytime earns its spot close to home, while something across town has to be worth the trip. Every address links to Google Maps so you can check the drive from your place.
The details
Ages, cost, registration deadlines, and a link to the source, because kids’ classes fill up fast.
No stale listings
Some event lists will send you to things that ended months ago. Every date here is verified before Sunday morning — if it’s in the email, it’s actually happening.

Who’s behind it

A local dad who wanted this list.

I’m a local dad of three — we homeschool here in West Orange — and I got tired of digging through listings to find things that were actually for my kids. So I built the list I wanted.

It’s a community give-back, and it’s free: no sponsors, no ads, no affiliate links, no upsells. Just a local parent sharing well-researched info so our neighbors spend less time searching and more time making memories with their kids. I review every event against the kid test — if it doesn’t pass, it doesn’t make the email.

Know an event we should list?

Especially weekday and homeschool programs.
